From Shared Space start-up to award winning agency – Bumbl celebrates 10 years

It’s milestone time at Toffee Factory as long-standing occupiers Bumbl celebrate 10 years in business.
Founded in 2015 by Greg Miles, shortly after he and co-director Lois graduated from Northumbria University, Bumbl began life as a one-person start-up launched from Lois’s parents’ sofa. Fast-forward a few years to 2018, and the pair moved into Toffee Factory’s Shared Space, renting two desks side-by-side. As the team grew, so did their Toffee Factory footprint, moving into their own office in the building where they remain today.
Over the last decade, Bumbl has built a global client base from its Toffee Factory HQ, working with names such as Nike, Tommee Tippee, Bandai Namco, Northumbria University, and Newcastle Building Society.
Their hard work and creativity were recognised in 2023 when they were named ‘Best Small Agency’ at the Global Social Media Awards, a win that celebrated their innovation and international impact.
Greg reflects: “We’ve come a long way from those early days. Toffee Factory has been the perfect base for us – not just the physical space, but the community, energy, and creative atmosphere. It’s been the backdrop to so many of our milestones.”
Lois adds: “We’re beyond grateful to everyone who’s supported us over the past decade: our clients, collaborators, and of course, the amazing Toffee Factory team. Being part of this community has been such a big part of our story.”
We can’t wait to see what the next ten years have in store for Bumbl, and we’re proud to have played a part in their journey from two desks in the Shared Space to an award-winning creative agency.
