Festival Season is upon us

Chilli & Toffee: Fire and Form brings ceramics, creativity and community to Ouseburn Festival.

The Festival returns this weekend (4th and 5th of July). Join us for a weekend of festival fun as venues across the Valley open their doors and outdoor spaces for an all round Ouseburn party. You can catch us each day between 12.00 and 4.00pm.

This year we are joining forces with our friends at Chilli Studios. This is your chance to experience the art and craft of ceramics up close through artist demonstrations, exhibitions, hands on activities, and opportunities to meet the makers working in a wide range of ceramic practices. We will be celebrating specialist artistry and inclusive community creativity. Expect a dedicated market showcasing the work of professional ceramic artists from across the North East alongside the talented artists and makers of Chilli Studios, live music from Chilli musicians and energetic Brazilian beats, pottery demonstrations including wheel-thrown pottery and a chance to get hands-on and creative with tile making workshops. There’s something for everyone!

Time to refuel? We’ve got you covered with The Saulty Cow, The South Tyne Juicery and our neighbours The Cumberland Arms will be on hand with their pop-up bar.

Of course, the festival doesn’t stop there! There’s lots on to keep you entertained across both days, including the community parade which sets off from Toffee at 1.00pm – get here early to soak up the activity and  atmosphere at hand.
