Feeling Crafty

June 16, 2016

Creative Space Management at Toffee Factory is delighted to collaborate with Design Event to support Crafts Council 2016 Hothouse programme which supports new creative businesses.

Hothouse offers creative and business support for new and emerging makers who have set up their business in the last three years. The programme is tailor-made specifically for contemporary craft makers and participants get to meet a range of regional and national organisations to help them realise their potential.

Design Event are a delivery partner for the Hothouse 6 programme in the North of England and are pleased to be working with Creative Space Management and the Toffee Factory to host the Newcastle events.

Karen Nairstone, Director of Design Events said: ‘We love working with the Toffee Factory and their excellent team. The space is brilliantly designed by Xsite Architecture to nurture creativity and features furniture and prints by a number of Northern designers we work with on the Northern Design Festival. We have done pop up design events at the Toffee Factory during Open Studios and are using the space for our partner events with the Crafts Council.’

what our clients say:

"The team at the Toffee Factory do a great job in fuelling a creative work place. They put a lot of effort into what many landlords might consider to be the softer side of working life such as organising exciting food, cultural and leisure events. These things make a big positive difference to creative teams like ours and the other businesses in the building."
