Uno, dos, tres … Vamos!

After last year’s sell out show ¡VAMOS! Festival brought Mexico’s favourite spectator sport back to Newcastle… Mexican Wrestling!
600 lucky ticket holders enjoyed the superhero vs villain, high-flying, acrobatic show, indulged in a little piñata smashing and gorged on some seriously tasty Latino street food, followed by the after party across the road at The Cycle Hub.
This year saw two dedicated shows throughout Saturday 21st June, one for the children (plus parents) and one solely for the grown-ups, with a magnificent display of Lycra, merrymaking, magnificent masks and marvellous moves that would put even the most revered of luchadores to shame.
The Creative Space Management team at Toffee Factory couldn’t have been happier to host such a colourful and entertaining event; having personally chosen the venue, festival organiser Nik Barrera was equally as pleased with the collaboration:

It’s an inspiring and beautiful location, with talent in abundance and a great team delivering it.
