Toffee FACtory Records

May 4, 2017

The Creative Space Management team at Toffee Factory invite you join them as they throw open their doors for The Late Shows weekend in May. This established programme has attracted over ten thousand visitors in the last five years and 2017 looks set to be another busy one. Head down to Ouseburn and join Multiminded as they present a music fuelled two nighter, Toffee FACtory Records on the 19th and 20th May.

Toffee Factory residents and music fanatics Multiminded Digital want you to celebrate the soundtrack of your lives as they launch their new legacy project Our Life Sounds, the first step on a journey to map the world via music tastes. So what’s your life soundtrack? They need to know. #ourlifesounds

Toffee FACtory Records pays homage to the Haçienda nightclub on what would have been its 35th birthday.

Each evening you can expect DJs, food, drink, visuals, dancing and shopping. You’ll be able to take the music home with you with vinyl on sale (record players too!), or get your hands on some music themed art and merchandise.  Stalls will be aplenty and include Oxfam Books & Music, Curvy Sounds, RPM Music, Vinyl Guru and more! Out in the courtyard join the DJs as they play FACtory Records finest Joy Division, New Order, Happy Mondays, OMD and the like along with some of the dance favourites championed by Haçienda resident DJs and Multiminded’s picks from the best of Northern music.

“What better excuse to celebrate music at its finest than the Haçienda’s 35th birthday? What better place to take over for a music two nighter that the Toffee Factory? Whatever your music taste we hope you’ll make us a part of the Late Shows. And don’t forget to sign up to be part of music history as we launch the first step in creating a very different music map of the world with Our Life Sounds.” Fiona Birkbeck & Jim Bell of Multiminded.

Beacon Burgers will be on hand as the perfect accompaniment for late night revellers. The bar will be open to quench your thirst and Canny Coffee will have boozy hot drinks to fuel dancing the night away.

Toby Hyam, Managing director of Creative Space Management said, “Toffee Factory has pioneered innovative events, workspace in the Lower Ouseburn Valley and we are proud to host another fantastic event as our contribution to The Late Shows.”
