Capturing Alice with Star & Shadow | Ouseburn Festival 2015

You’ve probably seen the Disney version but did you know filmmakers and animators were inspired by the story of ‘Alice in Wonderland’ long before Walt came along?
Join us as we collaborate with Star and Shadow for Ouseburn Festival 2015 to screen archived stop motion and live action interpretations of Lewis Carroll’s most well-known work, accompanied by a live score.
Artist Chris Folwell will also be running FREE drop-in workshops (12.30pm, 1.30pm, 2.30pm and 3.30pm), showing you how to assemble your very own zoetrope to take home with you. So embrace the child in yourself and enjoy sweet treats and hot beverages from Heaton Perk cafe, fun craft activities and of course these wacky and brilliant, yet rarely screened, version of Alice in Wonderland.
