HOLLYWOOD HATES ME COMES TO OUSEBURN

November 11, 2016

Building on the success of ‘Hollywood Hates Me’ which attracted 100s of visitors during Northern Design Festival, the work now heads to the creative home of the artist behind the designs.

The exhibition, originally curated by Design Event, gives a fascinating look at what nearly was with a focus on a series of rejected film poster designs. All work is by Ian Keltie the Creative Director at Keltie Cochrane who made Toffee Factory their home when it first opened its doors in December 2011.

Ian works with a host of international clients including The Wall Street Journal and Rolling Stone magazine and since 2012 he has produced artwork for Los Angeles entertainment agencies designing posters for blockbuster and independent films. Not all of the designs have made the final cut so this is a rare chance to catch what could have been adorning billboards near you. If you missed it last time, or fancy another look, head down to the Valley this month.

Ian Keltie, Creative Director, Keltie Cochrane said, “If your ideas aren’t selected then you’re unable to add them into your online folio. This has left an extensive and interesting collection that I’m really proud of gathering dust. After such a positive response during Northern Design Festival I am looking forward to bringing the exhibition to our base at Toffee Factory. We moved into the building when it first opened in 2011; it has been a great home for us and this exhibition will mark a very successful five years trading from our studio in Ouseburn”

The show includes designs for Django Unchained, The Hateful Eight, Magic Mike and The Revenant, and TV shows, True Detective, Fargo and The Simpsons.

The exhibition is open Thursday 17th & Friday 18th November with visitors welcome from 9.00am. On the Thursday the hours are extended into the evening until 8.00pm with a pay bar available so come down after work for a tipple.
