Fancy a brew amidst all that shopping? Then pop down to Toffee Factory over the Open Studios weekend to explore the history of the Ouseburn area and the surrounding communities. Everyone is welcome to get hands-on with objects, peruse photographs and watch film footage from the heritage collections of Ouseburn Trust, Byker Lives and Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums. Local artist Lindsay Duncanson will be running a drop-in print workshop and there will be free tea and biscuits on offer too.
